Whether you call it ethical, sustainable or socially responsible investing, we have a responsibility to ensure that our investment practices are in accordance with the guidelines established by the Uniting Church SA.
The Ethical Investment Policy of the Uniting Church SA adopts a 'negative filter' approach to screening investments and seeks to exclude companies with defined characteristics from the possible investment pool of the Church.
The policy excludes investments in companies which have substantial interests in the production of armaments, gambling, tobacco, alcohol, uranium and pornography or have unacceptable environmental, social or governance practices.
