UC Invest is proud to support an inaugural conference for people who are approaching retirement or are retired.
With the Australian community demographic changing considerably with more people over 65, it’s timely to remind our community that age is no barrier to achievement.
Chris Headland, Convenor points out “Moses was 80 when he lead the Jewish people out of Egypt and Winston Churchill made his greatest contribution to history after the age of 66.”
Some members of the Seniors Ministry Group at Hope Valley Uniting Church have developed the conference. The purpose is to encourage, enthuse and empower participants no matter what stage of life, to continue to learn, adapt and use the skills that they have in their communities.
A range of speakers will provide insight, including keynote speaker Dr Lynn Arnold AO FAICD and Dr Deidre Palmer, Moderator UC in SA.
Details: Saturday 26 July 2014, 9:00am – 4:30pm
Hope Valley Uniting Church.
Registrations close on 12 July.
