Golf Day takes a swing at poverty

UC Invests annual Charity Golf Day was held at Grange Golf Club on 16th October 2015. Sixty players hit the course for an ambrose round. Along with a great time, some fantastic shots, and our first ever hole in one, (Peter Curtin from FIIG Securities), we were able to raise some much needed funds.

Thanks to all our supporters we managed to raise $10,000 for UnitingCare Wesley Port Adelaides Hang it up for Poverty Program.

Hang it Up for Poverty provides support, and assistance to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. The program assists in many ways from groceries, money towards bills, providing household essentials, uniforms for school children, motel accommodation for young people on the street and even rental bonds. The program also conducts clothing drives for new and recycled clothes and then give out clean, recycled clothing to the homeless and people with very low income or have fallen on hard times.

UC Invest is proud to contribute to such a worthy cause, and we look forward to next years Golf Day.
