From Growth to Belonging: How Strategic Investment Enabled Intercultural Ministry at Broadview.

Ruthmary HS
“With support from a UC Invest backed grant, Broadview was able to respond with care rather than strain. The grant enabled the creation of a dedicated intercultural ministry role, offering practical support for inclusive worship, clear communication, multicultural gatherings, and the nurturing of new leaders from diverse backgrounds. “ – Rev. Ruthmary Bond, Minister Broadview UC

The Challenge

Broadview reached a critical moment: without additional resourcing, growth would not be sustainable.

The UC Invest Response

This role supports inclusive worship, coordinates communication across cultures, organises multicultural gatherings, and ensures emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds are seen, supported, and encouraged.

Just as importantly, the grant became a moment of trust and encouragement. With UC Invest’s support, the congregation committed its own resources, accepted a modest deficit budget, and set a clear path toward sustainability
