Frequently Asked Questions by Congregations About Transferring Funds.
How do we withdraw funds from our investment account?
To withdraw funds from your investment account you will need to complete a New Transfer request in UC Invest Online.
There are three ways you can find the New Transfer page:
- Hover over Transfer Funds in the main menu and click on New Transfer
- Use the blue Quick Links that are located at various points around the site
- Use the ‘site-map’ menu links at the bottom of each page
Please note that you cannot transfer funds from a fixed term investment.
Where can we transfer money to?
If we make a transfer to another financial institution, when will it appear?
A transfer to another financial institution will not appear immediately.
If you complete a transaction before our processing cut-off time (3.30pm Adelaide time) your payment will generally be sent overnight.
These payments would normally appear in the recipient’s account on the next day.
If you complete a transaction after our processing cut-off time, or on a weekend or public holiday, your payment will be sent on the next business day.
Therefore, depending on when you complete your transaction, it could take up to 3 business days to reach your recipient’s account.
Can we set up regular or future dated transfers?
Can we restrict access to transferring funds?
Yes. If you do not want ‘Pay Anyone’ access from your investment account, you may elect to have your investment linked to a Nominated Account at another financial institution.
This means that any payments from your investment will only be sent to your Nominated Account.
What is the maximum amount that we can withdraw?
By default, we will set a maximum transfer limit of $5,000 per day.
You may elect to increase this amount to a maximum of $15,000 per day.
Any changes to your transfer limits will need to be received on an Account Access / Change of Details Form.
Why are we sometimes prompted for an SMS Security Code?
There are certain transactions and requests processed via UC Invest Online require additional security measures to protect your account information and money.
What is my Address Book?
Your Address Book is a listing of account numbers that you regularly pay money to.
The Address Book feature saves you from having to re-enter the account details every time you make a transfer to a regular account.
How do we add accounts to my Address Book?
You can only add an account to your Address Book when you process a New Transfer.
There is a check box option at the bottom of the New Transfer screen that when selected will add the account to your Address Book at the completion of the transfer.
Can we edit account details in our Address Book?
You can only remove accounts from your Address Book or change the account holder’s name.
The BSB Number and Account Number cannot be altered.
What are Pending Transfers?
Pending transfers only apply to accounts that use more than one signatory to authorise payments from an account (e.g. organisation accounts).
